JEREMY WALKER

Jeremy read law at Oxford University but found himself working in social care in the 1970’s. He qualified in 1980 and worked in a generic service for the next 11 years. He built up a great deal of experience of child protection and related court work, and developed an interest in systemic family work. He became an ASW in 1983 and a senior practitioner in mental health in 1985. As well as this, he did locum out-of-hours work, a 4-year training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, and 9 years with the Mental Health Act Commission. He was also a member of an external homicide inquiry panel.
